Getting Started With Twitter Marketing


Quick Tutorial to Get you Started:


  1. Access your SimplyCast account by logging in at SimplyCast.com.

  2. Once inside the Application, select Twitter by clicking on the icon on the left side of the screen and then the Twitter Dashboard.

  3. From the Twitter Marketing Dashboard you can see all of your projects and toggle back and forth to view:


    1. Summary of all campaigns (this is your home dashboard)

    2. Summary is also where you create a New Twitter Campaign by clicking Create New Project.

    3. View Campaign Reports

    4. Submit or edit your Twitter settings

    5. Send a single Tweet (update your status)

    6. View smart list

    7. Help Section

  5. To start a new campaign, choose Create a New Project from the Summary tab.

  6. There are three types of campaigns you can create a new campaign, use Tweets from a previous campaign or create a campaign that will automatically Tweet from an RSS feed.


    Once you have entered a project name, picked your option and clicked next, you will be on the screen where you will enter your text.


    Enter in the information for your Tweets. You can create several Tweets and schedule each one to update at different times. Use the Plus and Minus button to add in more Tweets or delete ones not needed. If you have your Tweets already entered into a spreadsheet, you can upload them all at once with the Upload Tweets from file button.

  7. Enter in the information for your Tweets. You can create several Tweets to go off at different times. Use the Plus and Minus button to add in more Tweets


  8. Schedule a time for the Tweets by clicking on the Date/Time box

  9. Once you have entered all of your Tweets, hit the next step button. It is recommended to save your work frequently by using the Save button. You will be asked if you want to save your Tweets, click OK.


  10. At this stage you will need to add in your Twitter account. The text will come up saying "You have not added any Twitter account yet, please add a new account". Click the link to add a new Twitter account or go to the settings tab on the dashboard.

  11. Log into your Twitter account.

  12. You will now be able to select the Twitter account on the Campaign Settings menu. Set your time zone, an end date for your campaign, and whether or not you want to follow people who retweet any of the messages from this campaign. You can also add in a customized direct message for this campaign.

  13. Select Next, and you will now be able to review the details of your campaign before you send out the Tweets.

  14. Now you can view reports about Tweets and Retweets.
